## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT PERFORMED AN INITIAL SURVEYING PASS FROM WEST TO EAST TO ENSURE THE AIRSTRIP WAS CLEAR OF OBSTRUCTIONS. THE PILOT ENTERED A EAST DOWNWIND APPROACH. THE PILOT PERFORMED A LIGHT TOUCH AND GO TO ENSURE THE DIRT/GRAVEL WAS FIRM ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THE WEIGHT FOR A NORMAL TOUCH AND GO. THE PILOT PERFORMED A GO AROUND AND RE-ENTRY INTO ANOTHER DOWNWIND APPROACH. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED THE GROUND AND ROLLED FOR A FEW SECONDS. THE PILOT THEN INITIATED THE NEXT GO AROUND AND NOTICED A VERY SLIGHT SHUDDER DURING ACCELERATION FROM IDLE. A FEW SECONDS LATER THE PILOT NOTICED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GAINING AIRSPEED AND NO LIFT AS NORMAL. THE PILOT DID NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT AIRSTRIP FOR A FULL STOP. THE AIRCRAFT PASSED THE END OF THE STRIP INTO A DOWNHILL SECTION AND CONTACTED THE BRUSH AND GROUND AND NOSED OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC25LA052](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC25LA052), Jun 14, 2025: Stinson 108 (N2101Q), Cantwell, AK, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
