## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A PRACTICE FLIGHT ON A GRASS AREA NEXT TO THE RUNWAY. THE STUDENT PILOT EXPERIENCED AN ACCIDENT DURING THE LANDING ROLL-OUT PHASE. THE PILOT APPLIED THE BRAKES, WHICH RESULTED IN A LOSS OF CONTROL, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO NOSE OVER. THIS LED TO A PROPELLER STRIKE AND SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRFRAME. THE PILOT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. UPON REVIEW, THE AIRCRAFT'S RECORDS CONFIRMED IT HAD THE PROPER CERTIFICATION AND DID NOT HAVE A CURRENT ANNUAL INSPECTION. AN EXAMINATION OF THE PILOT'S RECORDS VERIFIED THAT THEY HELD THE CORRECT CERTIFICATION AND ENDORSEMENTS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
