## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 24, 2025, AT 13:15 P.M. CDT, A SMALL TWIN-ENGINE AIRPLANE EXPERIENCED INSUFFICIENT ENGINE POWER WHILE TAKING OFF FROM RUNWAY 20 AND CRASHED LANDED IN THE GRASS ABOUT 865 FT SHORT OF THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND 110 FT TO THE LEFT OF THE CENTER LINE. THE AIRPLANE WENT AIRBORNE OVER THE RUNWAY FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME BEFORE IT WENT DOWN. THE AIRPLANE SUFFERED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING AND WING-TIP TANK, FRACTURED BOTH RIGHT ENGINE MOUNTING CROSSMEMBER SUPPORTS, BUCKLED THE AIRCRAFT’S NOSE, AND THE LANDING GEAR SYSTEM COLLAPSED. THE PILOT WAS THE ONLY OCCUPANT IN THE AIRCRAFT AND SUFFERED NO PHYSICAL INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA238](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA238), Jun 24, 2025: Cessna 310 (N5045Q), Fayetteville, TN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s decision to operate the airplane with known discrepancies.

## Other reports on N5045Q (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19921005041059I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19921005041059I), Oct 5, 1992: Cessna 310N (N5045Q), Albuquerque, NM, Minor damage. While practicing ILS approaches pilot forgot to lower gear. Landed gear up.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
