## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED X55 TO THE NORTH AND EXPERIENCED A POWER LOSS ON THE RIGHT ENGINE. AIRCRAFT ROLLED/YAWED TO THE RIGHT, IMPACTING SEVERAL TREES AS IT WENT THROUGH THE TREE LINE, AND CAME TO REST ROUGHLY 300 FEET EAST OF THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE, FACING WEST AND PARTIALLY SUBMERGED IN A RETENTION POND. THE LEFT ENGINE AND WING WERE SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGED WITH THE LEFT PROPELLOR COMING THROUGH THE SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE AFTER IMPACTING A TREE. PILOT AND PASSENGER BROKE A WINDOW AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT AND PASSENGER THEN WALKED BACK THROUGH THE TREE LINE AND ACROSS THE RUNWAY TO THE HANGAR TO CALL 911.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA250](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA250), Jun 29, 2025: Beech 95-B55 (T42A) (N9420Y), Eustis, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s inadequate preflight fuel planning and his failure to maintain directional control of the airplane after a total loss of right engine power during takeoff due to fuel starvation.

## Other reports on N9420Y (1)

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
