## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT (LSA), MODEL SAVANNAH S, DEPARTED THE MAGNOLIA AIRPARK (LS77) IN SLAUGHTER, LA. THE PILOT STATED IN AN INTERVIEW THAT HE SET THE FLAPS, ADVANCED THE THROTTLE, AND STARTED ROLLING FOR TAKE-OFF RUNWAY 36. THE PILOT EXPLAINED THAT THE NOSE PITCHED UP TO A STEEP ATTITUDE IMMEDIATELY AFTER BECOMING AIRBORNE AND THAT THE PLANE DID NOT CLIMB OR GAIN ALTITUDE. THE PILOT SAID HE LOWERED THE NOSE OF THE AIRPLANE, VEERED TO THE LEFT, THEN LANDED LEFT OF RUNWAY 36 CENTERLINE. VIDEO EVIDENCE CONFIRMED THE PLANE TRAVELED 75 YARDS ON THE GROUND AFTER LANDING, THEN STRUCK A BACKYARD CLUBHOUSE/SWING SET, AND CAME TO REST AGAINST A CEDAR FENCE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA233](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA233), Jul 1, 2025: ICP Savannah S (N5000S), Slaughter, LA, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
