## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ALL PREFLIGHT OPERATIONS WERE NORMAL, AND ALL CHECKLISTS WERE COMPLETED WITHOUT ISSUE. WEATHER CONDITIONS INCLUDED A STORM SYSTEM APPROACHING THE AIRPORT FROM THE SOUTH, WITH WINDS INCREASING FROM THAT DIRECTION AND GUSTS REACHING UP TO 44 KNOTS.

TAXI TO THE DEPARTURE RUNWAY (RUNWAY 21) WAS UNEVENTFUL. UPON RECEIVING TAKEOFF CLEARANCE, AIRCRAFT TAXIED ONTO THE RUNWAY AND ALIGNED WITH THE CENTERLINE. BEFORE ADVANCING THE THROTTLES FOR TAKEOFF, BOTH FRONT WINDSCREENS SUDDENLY CRACKED AND SPIDERWEBBED ACROSS THE ENTIRE SURFACE.

CREW IMMEDIATELY INFORMED THE TOWER AND REQUESTED TO TAXI BACK TO THE GATE. THE RETURN TAXI AND ARRIVAL AT THE GATE WERE COMPLETED WITHOUT INCIDENT. ALL PASSENGERS AND CREW DEPLANED NORMALLY, AND MAINTENANCE WAS NOTIFIED FOR FURTHER EVALUATION OF THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
