## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TOUCHDOWN, THE HELICOPTER APPEARED TO ENTER GROUND RESONANCE CONDITIONS THAT WORSENED RESULTING IN THE HELICOPTER ROLLING OVER, IMPACTING THE GROUND, AND BREAKING APART RESULTING IN THE DESTRUCTION OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THERE WAS NO POST IMPACT FIRE; HOWEVER, THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE NEARBY HANGAR AND OTHER AIRCRAFT FROM PROJECTILE DEBRIS OF THE ROTOR SYSTEM AND HELICOPTER BREAKING APART.”

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA255](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA255), Jul 2, 2025: Schweizer 269C (N21385), Madisonville, KY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to take the appropriate corrective action for ground resonance, which resulted in a loss of helicopter control.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
