## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 07/05/2025 AT WADSWORTH MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (3G3), APPROXIMATELY 1100EDT THE PILOT OF THE AICRAFT IN QUESTION PERFORMED A PRE-INSPECION AND SLOWLY RAN THROUGH THE CHECKLIST. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIED FROM PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE END OF THE RAMP TO NUMBER 2 AVGAS FUEL DISPENSER, PARKING IN LINE WITH THE HOUSING, THE BRAKE WAS SET AND THE PLANE FUELED. DUE TO HOT TEMPERATURES COUPLED WITH HIGH HUMIDITY, THE PILOT INDICATED THAT HE HAD TO CONSISTENTLY CLEAN HIS PRESCRIPTION GLASSES FROM THE SWEAT. AS THE PILOT WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE THE FUELING AREA HE NEEDED TO WIPE HIS GLASSES ONE MORE TIME. A FEW SECONDS LATER, HE HEARD A LOUD BANG. THE PILOT HAD INITIALLY THOUGHT THE ENGINE HAD BLOWN UP UNTIL HE REALIZED THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED INTO THE FUEL DISPENSER STRUCTURE. THE PROP IMPACTED THE CABINET STOPPING THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE AT THE TIME WAS ON LOW IDLE WHICH THE PILOT INDICATED WAS AROUND 650 RPM. DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED TO THE PROPELLER BLADES AND THE STRUCTURE OF THE FUELING DISPENSER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
