## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 07/07/2025, AN SR22T DEPARTED MERRITT ISLAND AIRPORT (COI) WITH 3 PASSENGERS ON BOARD AT 1103 WITH A DESTINATION OF RALEIGH EXECUTIVE JETPORT (TTA). THE PILOT REPORTED ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS TO ATC AND STOPPED TRANSMITTING ADS-B DATA WHILE OFF OF THE COAST OF FLORIDA BUT TOLD TO AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL THEY WOULD CONTINUE TO THE DESTINATION AT KTTA. AN EMPLOYEE AT KTTA RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM A PASSENGER WHO STATED THE AIRCRAFT WAS 6 TO 7 MILES SOUTH OF KTTA AND HAD INOPERATIVE RADIOS AND WERE EXPERIENCING ENGINE TROUBLE. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED TERRAIN IN A FIELD APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF KTTA RESULTING IN 4 FATALITIES. THE AIRCRAFT PARACHUTE WAS NOT DEPLOYED AND THE GROUND SECURING PIN WAS FOUND INSTALLED. THE LEFT FUEL TANK DID NOT CONTAIN ANY FUEL AND WAS NOT BREACHED. THE RIGHT FUEL TANK WAS BREACHED AND HAD ABOUT 3 GALLONS OF 100LL FUEL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25FA260](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25FA260), Jul 7, 2025: Cirrus Design SR22T (N5656M), Sanford, NC, substantial damage, 4 fatal, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
