## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN (CFI) WAS DOING A DISCOVERY FLIGHT WITH A STUDENT IN THE LEFT SEAT. AIRMAN STATED STEERING WAS INEFFECTIVE AND DECIDED TO NOT CONTINUE THE PLANNED FLIGHT IN THAT AIRCRAFT. THEY TAXIED TO THE END OF THE TAXIWAY TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO THE RUNWAY WITH THE INTENT TO TAXI TO THE NEXT TURNOFF AND RETURN TO THE RAMP. THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT TURN LEFT AND DEPARTED THE TAXIWAY STRAIGHT AHEAD INTO THE GRASS AND DOWN A SMALL EMBANKMENT INTO A CHAINLINK FENCE WHERE IT CAME TO REST.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES. PROPELLER WAS DAMAGED. THERE WAS NO OTHER VISIBLE DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
