## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

REPORTEDLY, DURING AN ATTEMPTED LANDING ON RUNWAY 36, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ABOUT TO TOUCHDOWN WHEN IT COLLIDED WITH ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WHICH HAD ALREADY LANDED AND WAS ON ROLL OUT. AN AIRCRAFT ON FINAL BEHIND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, MADE AN URGENT RADIO CALL FOR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TO GO AROUND. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ INITIATED AN IMMEDIATE GO AROUND, DURING WHICH ITS RUDDER MADE CONTACT WITH THE PROPELLER OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. THE CONTACT RESULTED IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR FAIRING AND SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO TO APPROXIMATELY 12 INCHES OF THE LOWER AFT PORTION OF THE RUDDER OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. THE PROPELLER BLADES OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ RECEIVED DAMAGE REQUIRING PROPELLER REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER, OTHER THAN A MINOR SCUFF TO THE CANOPY OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, MADE BY THE TIRE OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, THERE DIDN'T APPEAR TO BE ANY OTHER DAMAGE TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PERFORMED A SUCCESSFUL GO AROUND AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA250](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA250), Jul 12, 2025: Vans RV-8 (N931KZ), Tarkio, MO, minor damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
