## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DESCENDING ON ZOMBZ 6 ARRIVAL AT ABOUT 16,000' NEAR CRWLR WAYPOINT IN LIGHT TURBULENCE AT AN INDICATED AIRSPEED OF ABOUT 250 KTS, THE LANDING GEAR EXTENDED UNCOMMANDED. I REDUCED SPEED AND ALERTED DENVER APPROACH THAT I HAD A LANDING GEAR ISSUE AND COULD NOT MEET THE STAR SPEED REQUIREMENTS (NEEDED TO REDUCE SPEED TO <200 KIAS PER AIRCRAFT LIMITATIONS). DENVER ACKNOWLEDGED AND APPROVED LOWER SPEED, ASKED IF I NEEDED FURTHER ASSISTANCE TO WHICH I REPLIED 'NOT AT THAT MOMENT'. I NOTICED THAT THE RED GEAR UNLOCKED LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED, AND THE GEAR HANDLE WAS IN THE UP POSITION. I LOWERED THE GEAR HANDLE AND OBSERVED THREE GREEN LIGHTS (GEAR DOWN) AND THE RED LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. I ALERTED DENVER THAT I HAD THREE GREEN - NO RED, AND CONTINUED WITH VECTORS FOR A VISUAL LANDING ON RWY 17L AT KAPA. DENVER ELECTED TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. I WAS MET BY AIRPORT PERSONNEL UPON LANDING WHO WANTED TO CONFIRM WE WERE OK, AND PROVIDED MY NAME AND CELL NUMBER. I THEN CALLED ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^(MY AIRCRAFT MANAGER) TO SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
