## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER DEPARTING FROM IAH, THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED ENGINE ROUGHNESS AND VIBRATION. THE PILOT OBSERVED A DROP IN ENGINE CYLINDER TEMPERATURE. UNABLE TO MAINTAIN ALTITUDE, THE PILOT ELECTED TO PERFORM AN EMERGENCY OFF-AIRPORT LANDING. DURING THE LANDING, THE LEFT WING STRUCK A TREE, AND THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY IMPACTED THE GROUND, COMING TO REST PARTIALLY IN A POND. BOTH OCCUPANTS WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE AIRCRAFT UNINJURED PRIOR TO THE AIRCRAFT BEING DESTROYED BY A POST-CRASH FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA282](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA282), Jul 21, 2025: Cessna T210N (N93HP), Crosby, TX, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
