## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 7/23, DURING A RETURN FLIGHT TO KBTV, THE ENGINE LOST ALL POWER AND QUIT WHILE ON RIGHT DOWNWIND FOR RUNWAY 19. THE PILOT IMMEDIATELY INFORMED THE TOWER AND BEGAN A BASE TURN, MAINTAINING BEST GLIDE SPEED WITH GEAR DOWN AND NO FLAPS. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON A GRASS INCLINE ABOUT 15-20 FEET SHORT OF THE RUNWAY, CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR AND LEFT MAIN GEAR TO COLLAPSE. THE AIRPLANE SLID APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET TO A STOP. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, NO FUEL OR OIL LEAKS, AND EMERGENCY SERVICES RESPONDED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA292](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA292), Jul 23, 2025: Rockwell International 112 (N112EF), Burlington, VT, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
