## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 33. IT TAXIED ONTO THE RUNWAY AND BEGAN ITS TAKEOFF ROLL BUT ABORTED THE TAKEOFF WHEN THE PILOT REPORTED A LACK OF AIRSPEED INDICATION. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED DOWN THE RUNWAY AT HIGH SPEED, WENT BEYOND THE DEPARTURE END, COMING TO REST IN AN IRRIGATION DRAINAGE DITCH. PILOT AND TWO PASSENGERS EXITED THE PLANE AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE PLANE CAUGHT FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR25LA226](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR25LA226), Jul 27, 2025: Cessna 182L (N42725), Tucson Estates, AZ, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot’s inability to stop the airplane on the runway during a rejected takeoff for undetermined reasons, which resulted in the airplane’s impact with a ditch.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
