## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

JUST PRIOR TO TAKEOFF ROLL, AIRPORT OPERATIONS HAD BIRD DISPERSAL VEHICLE ON RUNWAY 36. DURING TAKEOFF, JUST AFTER ROTATION, AIRCRAFT INGESTED BIRD, OR BIRDS, INTO NUMBER TWO ENGINE. HIGH ENGINE VIBRATIONS RESULTED. CREW ELECTED TO RETURN TO KPIE FOR PRECAUTIONARY LANDING. CHECKLISTS COMPLETED AND OVERWEIGHT LANDING PERFORMED. MAINTENANCE CONFIRMED THREE FAN BLADES WERE DAMAGED AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. BIRD REMAINS WERE ALSO PRESENT IN THE ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
