## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE COMPANY REPORTED THE AIRCRAFT WAS OVERDUE TO RETURN FROM AERIAL APPLICATION OPERATIONS. ANOTHER AIRCRAFT WAS SENT TO LOCATE IT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOCATED IN A SOY BEAN FIELD APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES FROM THE BASE AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO HAVE STRUCK LEFT WING FIRST AND CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET FURTHER. THE LEFT WING TIP AND PART OF THE LEFT AILERON WERE LOCATED ABOUT 150 FEET PAST THE INITIAL IMPACT. ALL MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THE AIRCRAFT WERE ACCOUNTED FOR. THE RIGHT WING WITH THE REMAINING PORTIONS OF THE WING ASSEMBLY AND SPAR WERE POINTED OPPOSITE THE DIRECTION OF INITIAL IMPACT. THE FUSELAGE WAS PERPENDICULAR TO THE PATH OF IMPACT. FUSELAGE AND EMPENNAGE TWISTING INDICATED COUNTERCLOCKWISE ROTATION RELEVANT TO THE IMPACT PATH. PILOT STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO MOVE THE FLIGHT CONTROL STICK AND HAD LIMITED CONTROL WITH THE RUDDER. A FLIGHT CONTROL INSPECTION WAS INCONCLUSIVE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
