## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

IN CRUISE FLIGHT, THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER AND LANDED IN AN OPEN FIELD AJACENT TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HOSPITAL WAXAHACHIE. THE AIRCRAFT HAD JUST COME OUT OF ANNUAL INSPECTION. THE IA MET ME THERE AND TOLD ME THAT HE HAD FORGOT TO SAFETY THE OIL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE. IT CAME OUT CAUSING A COMPLETE LOSS OF OIL. HE PROVIDED ME WITH PICTURES. HIS HELPER HAD FORGOTTEN TO SAFTY THE VALVE, BUT THE IA TOOK COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
