## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AUGUST 14, 2025, CESSNA CE-560-560XL, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OPERATING UNDER PART 91 DEPARTED FT. LAUDERDALE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (FXE) WITH TWO PILOTS ON BOARD DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO LOSS OF PITCH FLIGHT CONTROL AND THEN DIVERTED TO FT. LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (FLL). THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

CESSNA ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WAS JUST RELEASED FROM MAINTENANCE, AND AIRCRAFT RECEIVED A NEW PAINT SCHEME. PILOTS STATED THEY COMPLETED THEIR PREFLIGHT CHECK AND NO CONCERNS WERE IDENTIFIED, AND NO ABNORMALITIES WITH THE FLIGHT CONTROL CHECK WERE MENTIONED. DURING TAKEOFF AS AIRCRAFT ACCELERATED PILOTS WERE UNABLE TO PUSH THE AIRCRAFT NOSE DOWN. FOR THE NEXT FEW MOMENTS, THE CREW STRUGGLED TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. ONCE REGAINING CONTROL BACK, PILOTS DECIDED TO KEEP FLAPS IN TAKEOFF CONFIGURATION LANDING AT FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA301](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA301), Aug 14, 2025: Cessna 560XL (N802TD), Oakland Park, FL, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
