## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 23, 2025, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, BOEING 777-300ER, WAS ENROUTE FROM NINOY AQUINO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MNL) TO LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX). APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT (AT 05:04Z, ROUGHLY 100 NAUTICAL MILES TO N20E140) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ EXPERIENCED SEVERE CLEAR AIR TURBULENCE. THE FIRST OFFICER’S FLIGHT DIRECTOR DISCONNECTED, AND THE PITCH LIMIT INDICATORS (PLI) APPEARED DURING THE EVENT. AFTER THE INCIDENT SYSTEMS CHECK SHOWED NORMAL INDICATIONS. ONE FLIGHT ATTENDANT WAS INJURED WHEN HER TORSO HIT A SERVICE CART. NO PASSENGER INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE INCIDENT WAS LOGGED INTO THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LOGBOOK. A TURBULENCE INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED WITH NIL FINDINGS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
