## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 08/24/2025, A CESSNA 120 MADE AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING APPROXIMATELY 1.5 MILES FROM TAYLOR AIRPORT. THE FAA BECAME AWARE OF THIS ON 08/25/2025. DURING PREFLIGHT, THE PILOT CONFIRMED THE FUEL AMOUNT USING A FUEL STICK. BASED ON PREFLIGHT PLANNING, THEY ESTIMATED 1.5 HOURS OF FLIGHT TIME WITH REQUIRED FUEL RESERVES. WHILE APPROACHING THE AIRPORT AFTER AN HOUR AND TWENTY-FIVE MINUTES OF FLIGHT, THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER AND EXECUTED AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING, RESULTING IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE TWO OCCUPANTS. AFTER LANDING, THE PILOT CHECKED THE FUEL AND FOUND NO FUEL INDICATED ON THE FUEL MEASURING STICK. THE FLIGHT WAS A PERSONAL FLIGHT DEPARTING FROM TAYLOR AIRPORT TO SIGHTSEE AND RETURN TO TAYLOR AIRPORT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
