## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A DETAILED ACCOUNT OF THE INCIDENT INVOLVING AIRCRAFT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THAT OCCURRED AT KAHULUI AIRPORT (OGG) ON AUGUST 24, 2025, DURING TAXI OPERATIONS.

AS THE SECOND-IN-COMMAND (SIC) WAS MANEUVERING THE AIRCRAFT ONTO TAXIWAY F, A LEFT TURN WAS INITIATED. THE SIC REQUESTED ASSISTANCE FROM THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND (PIC) TO MANAGE THE BRAKES FOR A SUBSEQUENT RIGHT TURN. AT THAT TIME, THE PIC WAS OCCUPIED WITH COMPLETING FINAL CHECKS BEFORE THE FLIGHT ON RUNWAY 5.

THE SIC MADE A SECOND CALL FOR ASSISTANCE, PROMPTING THE PIC TO OBSERVE THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS OFF THE CENTER LINE. IN RESPONSE, THE PIC APPLIED FULL BRAKES AND SET THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE TO IDLE. DESPITE THESE ACTIONS, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF THE TAXIWAY, RESULTING IN A PROPELLER STRIKE ON THE TOP GLASS PORTION OF THE TAXIWAY LIGHT—NOT THE LIGHT POLE.

THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE STRIKE, AND THE TOWER WAS PROMPTLY INFORMED OF THE SITUATION. MAINTENANCE TEAMS WERE CONTACTED TO PREPARE THE AIRCRAFT FOR TOWING BACK TO THE HANGAR FOR FURTHER EVALUATION AND NECESSARY REPAIRS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
