## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT SUFFERED A NOSE GEAR COLLAPSE AFTER TOUCHDOWN @THA, WITH NO INJURIES TO PILOT OR PASSENGERS. AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY AND OUR INVESTIGATION THE NEXT DAY FOUND EVIDENCE THAT THE NOSE GEAR LOWER TRUNION HAD BROKEN IN TWO PLACES AROUND THE STRUT HOUSING, ALLOWING THE GEAR TO COLLAPSE. THE CESSNA MAINTENANCE MANUAL FOR THIS AIRCRAFT LISTS A SUPPLEMENTAL INSPECTION (SID 32-20-02) THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED TO HAVE NOTED THE CRACK BEFORE THIS HAPPENED, BUT AS A 14 CFR PART 91 ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^OPERATOR, IT WAS NOT REQUIRED TO BE ACCOMPLISHED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
