## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 08/30/2025 AT APPROXIMATELY 1900 LCL, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A CESSNA 182M LOST CONTROL UPON TOUCHDOWN AT KKNB AIRPORT IN KANAB, UT, CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT. THE PILOT CITED HIS LACK OF PROFICIENCY IN THE AIRCRAFT MIXED WITH HIS FATIGUE AND GUSTY WINDS FOR THE INCIDENT. HE SAID THAT UPON TOUCHING DOWN AT KKNB, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND ON THE SUBSEQUENT LANDING THE AIRCRAFT LANDED NOSE FIRST, WHICH CAUSED A PROP STRIKE. LEADING UP TO THE LOSS OF CONTROL UPON TOUCHDOWN, EVERYTHING MECHANICALLY AND OPERATIONALLY WAS NORMAL. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT INCLUDED THE PROPELLER BECOMING BENT, WHICH REQUIRED ENGINE REMOVAL AND INSPECTION BY LYCOMING. THE FRONT END OF THE NOSE GEAR BENT BACK TO THE POINT WHERE IT CONTACTED AND BENT THE FIREWALL CAUSING SERIOUS AIRFRAME DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
