## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC), OPERATING A DIAMOND DA40 WITH ONLY THE PILOT ON BOARD, EXPERIENCED AN ENGINE ISSUE AFTER TOUCH-AND-GO ON 08/31/2025, AT APPROXIMATELY 11:33 Z (06:33 CDT). THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER AFTER ENGINE SEIZED, AND PIC LANDED SAFELY IN A SOYBEAN FIELD. PIC HAD NO INJURIES, AND NO DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT WAS REPORTED. INCIDENT OCCURRED 08/31/2025 AT 11:34 Z (06:34 CDT). MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION IS CHECKING AIRCRAFT. AN AMENDMENT WILL BE MADE IF REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
