## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2025 AT 12:30 EDT, A CH7A LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL ON ROLLOUT LANDING RUNWAY 19 AT KJRO. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AFTER LANDING FROM A HIGH APPROACH. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY, PASSING THROUGH A DITCH, THEN COMING TO A STOP IN THE GRASS. THE LANDING GEAR WAS DAMAGED. VISUAL METALOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. BOTH PILOTS WERE NOT INJURED. UPON INSPECTION THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY MECHANICAL MALFUNCTIONS WITH THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA340](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA340), Sep 2, 2025: Champion 7FC (N9884B), Jackson, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during a touch-and-go landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
