## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING OUR POSTFLIGHT INSPECTION THE CREW FOUND EVIDENCE OF A BIRD STRIKE ON THE LEFT ENGINE COWLING. THE CREW STATED THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN OR WHERE IT HAPPENED. THE CREW STATED THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF BIRDS IN THE AREAS AND NO INDICATION THAT THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED ANY BIRD(S). NO FOREIGN MATTER WAS INJESTED INTO THE ENGINE. DAMAGE ISOLATED TO A DENT ON THE LEFT HAND ENGINE INLET COWL LIP SKIN AT APPROX. 3 O'CLOCK ON OUTER SIDE NOT AFFECTING AIRFLOW MEASURING 1.5" X 0.75" X .041" DEEP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
