## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A TAILWHEEL AIRCRAFT WAS PRACTICING TOUCH-AND-GOES AT THE RENO-STEAD AIRPORT WHEN THE AIRCRAFT HE WAS OPERATING SUFFERED A GROUND LOOP. AFTER INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE LEFT WING, LEFT HORIZONTAL STABALIZER, AND LEFT AILERON WERE DAMAGED. THE PILOT IN COMMAND AND HIS PASSENGER WERE UNINJURED AND THE PILOT IN COMMAND STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO VACATE THE RUNWAY AT A FASTER SPEED THAN NORMAL DUE TO TRAFFIC BEHIND HIM ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON THE SAME RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR25LA285](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR25LA285), Sep 3, 2025: Cessna 180 (N4603B), Reno, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control while transitioning from the landing roll to taxi, which resulted in a ground loop.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
