## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2025 AT 0820 MDT, A VANS RV-7, COLLIDED WITH A WOODEN BARRICADE ON TAXIWAY A4 NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF THE RAMP. WEATHER AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT WAS VMC CONDITIONS WITH CALM WINDS AND DRY RUNWAYS AND TAXIWAYS. THE PROPELLER OF THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED THE BARRICADE WHICH DESTROYED IT. ONE OF THE THREE BLADES BROKE OFF AT THE ROOT AND DAMAGED THE OTHER TWO. THE PILOT WAS TAXIING WESTBOUND INTO THE RAMP AREA ON A WHEN THE PIC NOTICED THAT IT WAS BLOCKED WITH AIRCRAFT. THE PIC MADE A 180 DEGREE TURN AND PROCEEDED TOWARD THE A4 INTERSECTION TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE AIRPORT PARKING AREA. WHILE ON A4 AND JUST PRIOR TO THE RAMP AREA THE PILOT NOTICED A PERSON WEARING A SAFETY VEST WAVING A FLAG IN THE AIR. THE PILOT DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE NON-STANDARD COMMUNICATION AND THOUGHT THAT HE WAS SIGNALING HIM TO FOLLOW. WHILE THE PILOT’S ATTENTION WAS DIVERTED TO THIS INDIVIDUAL MOMENTARILY, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE WOODEN BARRIER. THE PILOT SHUT DOWN THE AIRCRAFT AND INITIATED AN EVACUATION WITHOUT INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
