## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS DEPARTING ON AN AGRICULTURAL DISPENSING FLIGHT. VIDEO OF THE DEPARTURE ALONG WITH THE PILOT'S STATEMENT SHOW THE AIRCRAFT TOOK OFF IN A 3 POINT ATTITUDE AS OPPOSED TO RAISING THE TAIL FIRST FOR BETTER ACCELERATION. ADEQUATE FLYING SPEED WAS NEVER ATTAINED AND WHEN THE PILOT PITCHED UP SLIGHTLY TO CLEAR POWERLINES A STALL OCCURRED. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED INTO A WOODED AREA APPROXIMAITLEY 400 YARDS NORTH OF RUNWAY 04 AT CHANDELLE AIRPORT (0N4). AIRCRAFT IMPACTED SEVERAL TREES, COMING TO REST IN AN INVERTED POSITION.

AIRCRAFT DAMAGE INCLUDED BROKEN WING ATTACH POINTS, AIRCRAFT PROPELLER/GEARBOX, RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR,

1 WING FUEL TANK AND VARIOUS PIECES OF THE AIRCRAFT, SEPERATED FROM THE FUSELAGE, WHICH DEEMED THE AIRCRAFT DESTROYED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA342](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA342), Sep 9, 2025: Schweizer G-164B (N8483K), Dover, DE, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s exceedance of the critical angle of attack which resulted in an aerodynamic stall at an altitude too low to recover.

## Other reports on N8483K (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19900626022729A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19900626022729A), Jun 26, 1990: Scwzer G164B (N8483K), Deer Grove, IL, Substantial damage. Flying under wires, struck powerline, rolled inverted impacted and stopped upright. Damage to aircraft extensive.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
