## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

CHICAGO, IL (ORD): CRJ2, TBN-ORD, REPORTEDLY LOST AIRCRAFT PARTS AT THE WESTIN HOTEL (400 PARK BLVD) IN ITASCA, IL WHILE ON APPROACH TO ORD. CHICAGO CITY OPS RETRIEVED THE PARTS AND VERIFIED THEY CAME FROM CRJ2. INJURIES: NONE, DAMAGE: EXTENT UNKNOWN. 09/17/2025 1826Z. INVESTIGATION DETERMINED IT WAS THE RH WHEEL WELL BIN THAT DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT DURING APPROACH WHEN THE LANDING GEAR WAS LOWERED. NO FINDINGS FOR FAA NINE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
