## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON THE MORNING OF 9/17 THE PILOT PLANNED A FLIGHT FROM OWD TO PYM. AFTER A PREFLIGHT, THE PILOT WENT IN THE AIRCRAFT AND TRIED TO START THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE DID NOT START, SO THE PILOT THOUGHT THE PROP WAS STUCK. THE PILOT ASSUMED THAT THEY TURNED OFF THE SWITCHES, THEN WENT IN FRONT OF THE AIRCRAFT TO TRY TO TURN THE PROP. THE AIRPLANE THEN STARTED UP AND TAXIED ON IT’S OWN POWER. IN THE PROCESS THE PILOT RECEIVED A CUT ON HIS HAND THAT REQUIRED 5 STITCHES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
