## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT WAS CONDUCTING A SERIES OF LOW APPROACHES OVER A PRIVATE AIRFIELD. AFTER COMPLETING AN INITIAL LOW PASS, THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN TO PERFORM A SECOND LOW APPROACH.

SEQUENCE OF EVENTS:

FOLLOWING THE INITIAL PASS, THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT ENTERED THE DOWNWIND LEG OF THE TRAFFIC PATTERN. TWO BOEING STEARMAN AIRCRAFT, FLYING SIGNIFICANTLY SLOWER, WERE AHEAD OF THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT IN THE PATTERN. WITNESSES REPORTED THAT THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT TURNED ONTO A LEFT BASE FOR FINAL APPROACH.

DURING THE TURN TO FINAL, THE AIRCRAFT SUDDENLY SNAPPED TO THE RIGHT. IT THEN ENTERED A RAPID DESCENT, IMPACTING THE GROUND LEFT WING FIRST, FOLLOWED BY THE FUSELAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25FA388](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25FA388), Sep 20, 2025: North American T-6G (N32SZ), Louise, TX, substantial damage, 2 fatal, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
