## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED SEVERE TURBULENCE 40 MILES NORTH EAST OF PALM BEACH (PBI) AT FLIGHT LEVEL 240 (24,000 FETT MEANS SEA LEVEL). TURBULENCE WAS FOR A FEW SECONDS, THE AUTOPILOT DISCONNECTED, AND 200 FEET OF ALTITUDE WAS LOST. AFTER A RETURN TO ASSIGNED ALTITUDE OF FL240, THE AUTOPILOT WAS RECONNECTED. THIS RESULTED IN A FLIGHT ATTENDANT SUFFERING A HAND INJURY. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO DESTINATION (KMIA) AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. FINAL DISPOSITION OF FLIGHT ATTENDANT UNKNOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
