## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 9/27/2025 AIRCRAFT DEPARTED FLORA AIRPORT, INDIANA AND REMAINED IN PATTERN. ON 3RD LAP AROUND PATTERN AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER, ENGINE STOPPED OPERATING, PROPELLER WAS NOT WINDMILLING. AIRCRAFT LANDED IN A FIELD NEAR THE AIRPORT AND FLIPPED UP ONTO ITS NOSE AT APPROX 1930. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. AIRCRAFT WAS RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO FLORA AIRPORT WHERE THE ENGINE CYLINDER HEAD WAS REMOVED AND GALLING OF THE CYLINDER WAS DISCOVERED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
