## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DEPARTING KCPS 30L ON OCTOBER 1, 2025 ON ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ENCOUNTERED A BIRD STRIKE PASSING THROUGH 5000'. THE CREW REQUESTED TO LEVEL OFF AT 8000' WITH ST LOUIS DEPARTURE. THE CREW NOTICED A VISIBLE CRACK AND COMPLETED THE "COCKPIT WINDSHIELD/ WINDOW CRACK" QRH CHECKLIST. THE CREW FOUND THE WINDOW HAD NO CRACKING OR FRACTURES ON THE INSIDE WINDSCREEN, WHICH THE CHECKLIST SUGGESTS NO LIMITATION. THERE WERE TWO AME'S ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT AT THE TIME, WHO INSPECTED THE WINDSHIELDS CONDITION AND BELIEVED IT TO BE IN SOUND CONDITION TO CONTINUE THE FLIGHT

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
