## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE LANDING ON THE DRY LAKEBED AT THE HIGH SIERRA FLY-IN EVENT AT DEAD COW LAKEBED, NEVADA, THE MISHAP PILOT WAS LANDING WITH A DIRECT RIGHT TO LEFT CROSSWIND. THE MISHAP PILOT HAD A HARD LANDING, STARTING WITH THE LH GEAR WHICH BOUNCED HIM ON TO THE RH GEAR AND WHEN IT BOUNCED OFF THE RIGHT GEAR THE AILERONS BECAME NEUTRAL AND THE RIGHT WING LIFTED DUE TO THE CROSSWIND AND THE LEFT WINGTIP MADE CONTACT WITH THE GROUND CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE ON THE LOWER LH WINGTIP AND THE LH AILERON.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
