## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OF N80JM ATTEMPTED TO LAND HIS AIRPLANE IN A BACKCOUNTRY LANDING AREA. THE PILOT STATED HE SELECTED AN AREA HE THOUGHT WOULD BE SMOOTH, BUT THE AREA HE LANDED ON WAS AT AN UPHILL SLOPE. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE UPHILL SLOPE LED TO A HARDER THAN EXPECTED LANDING WHICH RESULTED IN A LANDING GEAR COLLAPSE.
