## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 21, 2025, AT APPROXIMATELY 1603 PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME (PDT), THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED IN AN ACCIDENT IN LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DURING A TITLE 14 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91 PERSONAL FLIGHT. SERIOUS INJURIES TO THE PILOT AND A PEDESTRIAN WERE REPORTED.

THE PILOT REPORTED DEPARTING COMPTON/WOODLEY AIRPORT (KCPM), COMPTON, CALIFORNIA (CA), AND FLYING TO FRENCH VALLEY AIRPORT (F70), MURRIETA/TEMECULA, CA, AS PART OF A TWO-AIRCRAFT FLIGHT. AT ABOUT 1530 PDT, BOTH AIRCRAFT DEPARTED F70 WITH AN INTENDED DESTINATION OF KCPM.

THE PILOT STATED THE FLIGHT WAS NORMAL UNTIL WESTBOUND NEAR THE YORBA LINDA, CA AREA, WHEN THE FUEL FLOW INDICATION DECREASED FROM 6.5 OR 7 GALLONS PER HOUR TO 5. THE PILOT REPORTED THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO OPERATE NORMALLY AND ALL OTHER ENGINE PARAMETERS WERE NORMAL. JUST AFTER THE FULLERTON, CA AREA, THE PILOT REPORTED THE FUEL FLOW INDICATION FURTHER DECREASED TO AROUND 3 GALLONS PER HOUR, THEN THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED TO IDLE. THE PILOT REPORTED ATTEMPTING TO TROUBLESHOOT THE POWER ANOMALY; HOWEVER, THE ENGINE SURGED BRIEFLY, THEN SUBSEQUENTLY LOST TOTAL POWER.

THE PILOT REPORTED ATTEMPTING MULTIPLE ENGINE RESTARTS WHILE DIVERTING TOWARD LONG BEACH AIRPORT/DAUGHERTY FIELD (KLGB). WHILE DESCENDING AND REALIZING THE AIRPORT WAS NO LONGER REACHABLE, THE PILOT EXECUTED A FORCED LANDING IN A PARK LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE EAST OF THE KLGB AIRPORT. DURING THE LANDING, THE AIRPLANE STRUCK A PEDESTRIAN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
