## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APPROACH FOR LANDING ON RUNWAY 24 AT 3M0 THE

PILOT REALIZED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOO LOW. HE ADDED POWER, BUT THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT GAIN ALTITUDE. IT STRUCK THE SLOPE BELOW THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT CAUSED THE LEFT WING TO FLEX DOWNWARD, BENDING THE WING SPAR OUTBOARD OF THE WING STRUT. THE WING TIP DID NOT STRIKE THE GROUND. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE. THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND AND BOTH BLADES WERE BENT BACK TOWARDS THE CABIN. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON THE NOSE GEAR STRUT, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE FIREWALL, ADJACENT FRAMES, AND CONNECTING SKINS.
