## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 1ST, A KING AIR WAS TAXIING OUT FROM SPRUCE CREEK AIRPORT ALONG A RELATIVELY NARROW TAXIWAY. WHILE MANEUVERING AROUND OBSTACLES, THE PILOT DID NOT MAINTAIN ADEQUATE AWARENESS OF THE LEFT WING, WHICH STRUCK A TREE. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE WINGLET TO CRACK AND THE PILOT DEEMED THE AIRCRAFT UNAIRWORTHY AFTER SHUTDOWN AND INSPECTION. THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN TAXIED BACK TO ITS PARKING POSITION. MAINTENANCE CAME AND INSPECTED THE OUTER WING. LEFT WING REMOVED FOR INSPECTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
