## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAKEOFF ROLL ON RUNWAY 33 THE PIC OBSERVED MANY DEER MOVING LEFT OF THE AIRCRAFT. A SINGLE DEER RAN ACROSS THE RUNWAY AND WAS STRUCK BY THE AIRCRAFT. TAKEOFF WAS ABORTED. THE FOLLOWING MORNING A DEER CARCASS WAS LOCATED ON THE AIRFIELD WITH DAMAGE CONSISTENT WITH A PROP STRIKE. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO COWLINGS, HOWEVER THE PROP STRIKE NECESSITATED A FERRY PERMIT AND AN ENGINE INTERNAL INSPECTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
