## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT, STUDENT WAS ON FINAL AND EXPERIENCING A STRONG CROSSWIND. DURING LANDING, THE INSTRUCTOR HAD TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. AS AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN, AIRCRAFT VEERED TOWARDS THE RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE RUNWAY AND INTO THE GRASS. CREW SHUT DOWN THE AIRCRAFT AND CONTACTED THE TOWER FOR HELP. DAB OPS AND PEA MAINTENANCE CAME TO THE AIRCRAFT TO ASSIST AND TOW THE PLANE BACK. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE ARICRAFT WAS GROUNDED FOR MAINTENANCE TO INSPECT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
