## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11 NOVEMBER 2025 PILOT WAS PERFORMING IFR TRAINING WITH A CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR AND WAS DOING TOUCH AND GOS AT BOWERMAN AIRPORT IN HOQUIAM WA. DURING THE THIRD APPROACH, THE LANDING GEAR FAILED TO EXTEND DOWN AND LOCKED. THE PILOT HAD NO INDICATION THAT IT WAS NOT DOWN AND LOCKED. THE PROPELLER CONTACTED THE SURFACE AND THE PILOT SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. THE AIRCRAFT SLID APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET BEFORE STOPPING. POST INCIDENT THE PILOT OBSERVED THE GEAR WAS PROTRUDING FROM THE BELLY AND EXTREMELY LOOSE. ELECTRIC GEAR ACTUATION WAS INEFFECTIVE AND MANUAL EXTENSION WAS REQUIRED TO LOCK THE GEAR DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY AND THE PILOT NOTIFIED THE NTSB. IT IS UNKNOWN AS TO WHY THE ELECTRIC GEAR FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
