## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 17, 2025, A PA-28 PIPER ARCHER CONDUCTING AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER WHILE TURNING FROM BASE TO FINAL FOR RUNWAY 4L AT FALCON FIELD (FFZ). THE PILOT EXECUTED AN OFF-FIELD LANDING NEAR A CITY WATER CANAL SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. DURING THE ROLLOUT, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A BLOCK WALL, RESULTING IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

A POST-ACCIDENT REVIEW OF THE AIRCRAFT’S GPS DATA CARD APPEARED TO INDICATE A REDUCTION IN FUEL PRESSURE PRIOR TO THE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. AN EXAMINATION OF THE FUEL SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS DID NOT REVEAL ANY MECHANICAL FAILURES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR26LA045](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR26LA045), Nov 17, 2025: Piper PA-28-181 (N4402N), Mesa, AZ, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
