## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT, THE MIXTURE WAS USED TO SIMLUATE AN ENGINE FAILURE OF THE RIGHT ENGINE AT APPROXIMATELY 50%VMC. BRAKES WERE APPLIED BUT POWER WAS NOT REDUCED BY THE STUDENT. THE INSTRUCTOR BROUGHT BOTH MIXTURES TO IDLE CUTOFF WITH MAXIMUM BREAKING. THE AIRCRAFT YAWED RIGHT. DURING THE TURN, THE LEFT PROELLER STRUCK THE GROUND.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
