## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CLIMB OUT, PILOT REPORTED A SYSTEMS PROBLEM WITH THE PITCH TRIM. THE AIRCRAFT WAS PITCHING FOR NOSE UP AND THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO DEACTIVATE THE SYSTEM AND PREVENT THE AIRCRAFT FROM PITCHING NOSE UP. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, DAMAGING THE LANDING GEAR AND RUPTURING THE WET WING FUEL TANKS. A POST ACCIDENT FIRE DAMAGED THE AIRCRAFT SUBSTANTIALLY. PRELIMINARY REVIEW OF THE AIRCRAFT'S DOWNLOADED GARMIN AVIONICS DATA DOES NOT REVEAL A COMPLETE DISCRIPTION OF THE EVENT AT THIS TIME. NTSB IS PLANNING FOR FUTURE EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
