## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A NORMAL APPROACH TO LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT FLARED HIGH AND EXPERIENCED A SMALL BOUNCE UPON TOUCHDOWN. THE UPWIND WING LIFTED, AND THE PILOT OVER-CORRECTED WITH AILERON INPUT, CAUSING THE DOWNWIND WING TO RISE. THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY WEATHER-VANED INTO THE WIND AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY, STRIKING THE LEFT WING AND RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE. WINDS AT THE TIME OF LANDING WERE REPORTED TO BE APPROXIMATELY 60 DEGREES OFF THE RUNWAY AT 6 MPH.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
