## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT PREFLIGHTED THE AIRCRAFT THAT MORNING AND NO FAULTS WERE FOUND. TOOK OFF OUT OF GREENWOOD LAKE AIRPORT WITH THE INTENTIONS OF PERFORMING BASIC PILOT MANEUVERS. AFTER RECOVERING FROM A POWER ON STALL WITH THE AIRCRAFT IN LEVEL FLIGHT A SEVERE VIBRATION DEVELOPED. PILOT DIVERTED TO THE CLOSEST AIRPORT BEING SUSSEX NJ. THE FIRST APPROACH INTO SUSSEX WAS TOO HIGH THE PILOT PERFORMED A GO AROUND RESULTING IN THE VIBRATION BECOMING MUCH WORSE. ON THE SECOND APPROACH THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SUCCESSFULLY. AFTER LANDING PILOT OBSERVED PIECE OF PROPELLER MISSING AND CALLED THE CONTROLLING FAA OFFICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
