## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 14, 2025, AT PHOENIX DEER VALLEY AIRPORT (KDVT), THE PILOT OF A 1930S-ERA TAILWHEEL AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIING, PERFORMING FROM A HANGAR TO RUNWAY 7L WHEN THE AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH A FLIGHT SCHOOL TRAINING AIRCRAFT THAT WAS STOPPED IN LINE AWAITING DEPARTURE. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS PERFORMING S-TURN MANEUVERS WHILE TAXIING AND DID NOT SEE THE OTHER AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO THE IMPACT. HE FURTHER STATED THAT HE BELIEVED HE WAS TAXIING BEHIND ANOTHER AIRCRAFT THAT HAD DEPARTED THE HANGAR AREA AHEAD OF HIM.THE PILOT STATED THAT HE BELIEVED THAT THERE WAS A LOT OF CLEARANCE BETWEEN HIM AND THE OTHER AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT NOTED THAT THE TAXIWAY WAS NARROW, AND THE S-TURN MANEUVERS LIMITED HIS FORWARD VISIBILITY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR26LA059](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR26LA059), Dec 14, 2025: Waco RNF (N110Y), Phoenix, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The biplane pilot’s failure to maintain adequate clearance from the low-wing airplane while taxiing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
